SNMP Research Begins Shipping Release 17.1

Knoxville, TN, September 26, 2008 - SNMP Research begins shipping Release 17.1 software to customers with current Software Service Agreements and to new customers. Release 17.1 features IPv6 support on capable operating systems and extended support for Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Release 17.1 introduces several new products to enhance network management with SNMP: MIBGuide™, MIBGuide™/Lite, Advanced Protocol Operations, and BRASS™ XML.

“We've developed MIBGuide with the user in mind. MIBGuide makes it easier to write and compile MIBs, develop code, and deploy agents. A MIBGuide development suite will be sent with every agent-based development product; every manager-based product will get the MIBGuide/Lite MIB Editor.”

        -Jeff Case, Founder, CTO

Our customers with current Software Service Agreements and repeat customers will notice that the distribution also includes a complimentary Bonus CD with MIBGuide, a graphical integrated MIB development environment.
